Hot Weather

We asked about changes in San Diego's climate.

I definitely didn't move to San Diego for the snow - unfortunately with all the fires around here you cant avoid ash falling from the skies instead. Next time you think its too hot, make sure you look at the faces of the people on the news clips from back east who have to wake up 2 hours early to shovel the snow out of their driveways in order to get to work (been there - done that - send the 90' temps please). -- Ed

With regards to the Global Warming---Regardless of what the temperature is this year or last year or 100 years ago whos to say whats normal? The planet has been around for millions of years and to my knowledge we haven't been keeping records of "normal temperatures" for nearly that long. Everyone is so quick to blame the climate on some type of major climate change wheter it be from global warming or whatever...Well, I don't think there are any records that go back far enough for any of us to know what is in fact is normal.------Lets just enjoy some nice weather and be thankful that at this point in time we do in fact have the best weather in the country. -- Brian

I do not believe that these temperatures will be consistant throughout the following years. Climate change do to greenhouse gases I do not believe exists. If you analyze the charts between carbon dioxide and temperature, you will see temperature changes first. Remember it did hail in Southern California in March of 2006. Climate has always changed in the past and in the future. Sea level is dependant on the atmospheric pressure, not the amount of water in the ocean. Why is it that when Greenland is half melted in the summer sea level doesn't rise 10 feet? No one has any thing to worry about. -- Joe
